USCIS decided a date Jun 1, 2006 to be current for EB2, so that Visa Numbers are not lost this year. This they decided on the basis of numbers of applications they were able to process by Jul 8, 2008. We all know that I485 Processing Date for NSC was Jul 28, 2007 and TSC was July 17, 2007. These dates were posted on Jun 15 and by July 8, might have moved by a day or two.

approved i140 only allows h1 extensions for self and h4 extn for spouse. spouse must independently qualify for h1 extension beyond 6 years -pl confirm with an immig attny

You can set up register on the website of USCIS. After you get an account, put in your case receipt #, and you can monitor the progress of the case.
I did it on 12/06 and it shows the same date since then...
in fact it has not allowed me to add our app recipt numbers earlier and when I tried on 12/06 they got added to the online website...
so can I consider that there are no recent LUD's on our 485 apps?

Two years back, in the month of july, they accepted all applications in one month.
May be they have been working in the past 2 years to print cards for all of them and ready to dispatch this July.

I called the TSC IO a few times and finally it got cleared. Yes my PD is current and I wish the case gets assigned to some one soon.
These IO's knows nothing and they talk all bullshit. They keep on changing the story whenever you call them. Thats what happened in my case.
In Feb '08 my NC was pending
Mid Feb' 08 NC cleared
March 1st, NC pending
March 15, NC cleard and good to go
March 26, NC pending and waiting to be assigned to officer
April4th, NC pending and still waiting to go to an officer.

I do not think its a right approach to go to police for this mistake in the report as this is not a primary law and order problem, assumining that its a mistake in the report.
if you have been rejected for a job position based on a background screening report your employer must inform you about this and provide you with a full copy of the report. Generally they will send it in mail to your mailing address...
If you find a mistake in the report, which has led to this situation, you must dispute the wrong information in the screening report at once and get in touch with the company that conducted the check.
Tell them about the wrong information they have provided in the report and demand an immediate re-investigation, both by sending a letter and asking them over the phone as well.
Under Federal regulations an employer is prevented for five days from hiring another person in your place from the date when you dispute the wrong information in the report. So, do not loose hope, you may still get the same job provided the mistake is corrected in the report with in 5 days.

Me: Why so?is she preadjudicated?
Officer: There could be many reasons...no she is not pre-adjudicated...

I said how long should one wait...I opened an SR I got a reply that they are doing additional review contact after 6 months..3 days later I get approval email...no one has a clue...the right hand does not know what the left is doing....my wife is kicking me on the foot asking in native language be happy with yours do u want to loose urs too...

My gc was filed in Jun 2002 under EB3. I had approved labour and I-140.(in feb 2004).
I had filed my I-485 in June 2005 and got EAD in one month. I got married in Jan.
So is this correct that I can file my wife's case only when priority dates become current?
Now the real question is how do I keep track of this.

Are there any updates to the Bill that is being discussed right now ? I mean we have updates saying that they are discussing illegal immigration, border security, etc. I guess all of us are waiting to see & hear if something about us is getting discussed there. Something which would benefit our own community.
Please don't get me wrong, but many people hopefully look at the posts everyday thinking that there might be an update which might benefit thier case.I would urge & request someone from core members to give continuous updates.That would also eliminate lot of doubts especially amongst groups who are not very clear on the immigration voice activities.

Look i am not trying to say "mera bharat Mahan". All i am saying is tell me why should the Indian PM work to get us the Green Card. If you feel the Indian PM is incompetent, that is a different issue. Even if there was a competent PM, why should he/she work to get our Green Card?
Mexico is a bordering country and has a different kind of trade and agreeements. It is not the same for other countries like India and China.
Tell me why not Indian PM can't indicate to The US President on immigration? what is wrong in that logically, only for dollars and election fund they need NRIs how many Indians who are in US contribute to the Indian economy. Tell me what is wrong in asking ?

Thanks for a positive reply at last.I checked my both 797s my current one ends on Nov 14 and my future one starts at Nov 15.So i see there is no gap.Hopefully i will be good i guess.I am planning to go to Charlotte Border Security and see if they say me the same.Any way your comments made me rethink that i will be ok.
