Hi All,
My gc was filed in Jun 2002 under EB3. I had approved labour and I-140.(in feb 2004).
I had filed my I-485 in June 2005 and got EAD in one month. I got married in Jan.
So is this correct that I can file my wife's case only when priority dates become current?
Now the real question is how do I keep track of this.

I have the Sigma 105mm macro with a Canon mount. I think it's one of the best lens values available and highly recommend it, for price, image quality, and build quality. It's not a fast focusing lens, but I can't imagine using autofocus for macro work anyway. I assume you would get the same performance with a Nikon mount.

Not only mine. There are many in the same scenario. Its the feeling of being close to the finishline but stll can't cross it. Sudden Influx of anything let it be USCIS is not good.

So close....yet not there... True, it is frustrating to not cross the finish line, at least you can see the finish line unlike many in EB3 I - who don't even know the # of laps they have to run!!

Hi,

I am in a similar situation. I am in US on B1 visa and accidently damaged my passport.

Both my passport and I-94 are mutilated. Duplicate passport takes 6-8 weeks and I-102 takes close to 3 months.

What should I do? My exit date as per I-94 is Aug,25th.

Mean while I sent email to German Consulate in Atlanta, their reply was that if you have AP you dont need transit visa.

Also as I understand AMSTREDAM does not require transit visa? is it true?

Hi,

I recently moved from Ohio to Maryland. But Maryland DMA is saying that they can not issue Maryland driver's license based on my Ohio license BECAUSE my Ohio driver license has "non renewable/non transferable" note in it. In Ohio for all non-immigrant, they give driver's license with "non renewable/non transferable" note. Until someone gets green card, the note will be there in Ohio driver's license.

Did anyone have similar situation moving from Ohio to different state? This is strange rule in Ohio. but now if I have to get driver's license in Maryland, DMA is saying that I need to start from the beginning like fresh driver starting from driving school, certificates etc etc.

Please help.

I have the affidavits and the birth certificate with me. The problem is with the misspelled names on those when compared to my passport.

I don't know for what u have the affidavits for.Anyways,the solution for ur case(mispelt parents names in ur birth certificate) is"ur parents have to give an affidavit stating the subject that their names were mispelt and the original names are so and so" and all the remaining details are correct.And this affidavit is to be notarised by lawyer.

Ok, Hold the CTRL key on your keyboard then click on the layer that contains your original rectangle.

Like where it says, make sure you have the marquee tool active in the tools menu on the left side, otherwise the rest won't work. The marquee tool is the first tool on the upper left hand side. It is a dotted rectangle.

Press the up arrow once and the left arrow once (on your keyboard)

Create a new layer...self explanitory

Fill it with white... self explanitory

Hold CTRL again and select the layer with your original rectangle again. Like you did earlier in this step. Make sure the new layer you created with the white fill is still active (it will be blue or something ,you will know if it is selected).

Hit the delete key on your keyboard (or go to edit/cut or something, it also might be backspace on a MAC).

Deselect with CTRL+D - self explanitory

Now the next part of this I don't really agree with. Just keep the lines layer selected and use the down and right arrows on your keyboard to move it into place so it looks like the image in the tutorial.

Hope this helps. That was only step 2! If you have any questions about the other steps, just post I guess :)

Hi there,

Mine is EB3 India; priority date is Jan, 2007 and 485 filed in July, 2007 filters. I am holding 3 years of bachlers and 1 year diploma plus 10 years of professional experience. I do not see any progress in EB3 for another couple of years and thinking convert my petition from EB3 - EB2 but got few questions as follow; by the way I am on EAD now, no more H1B - so my situation is do or die :) I would not say die because this is not only the world for us.

Note: Still I am working for the same sponsered employer.

1. If I file new petition with EB2 based on my old EB3 priority date with same employer, what happens to my EB3 application processing? will that get effected in any way?
-both applications are independent of each other
2. What happens to my EB3 processing if my EB2 got rejected for some reason?
----it remains valid

3. If I get m 140 approved with my new EB2 filing; what kind of risks I have porting EB3 485 to EB2 file?

4. What all the requirements filing EB2 for converting from EB3?
------5 years of progressive experience or post graduate degree and the job for which you are working for requires that .

The immigrant visa dates for EB-2 ROW (France is part of ROW - Rest Of the World) are current. That means if you convince your company to apply for a EB-2 GC, it could be approved quickly, probably within a year or two. Just for comparision, EB-2 dates for India are in Early 2004 (that is a five year wait). It makes sense to go with EB-2 employment GC. I am an India and the wait for us is the longest across the board. In the current economic scenario, it might be prudent to wait a bit before starting your employment GC. It is best to follow your attorney/firms advice on the timing.

I am not sure if you have the patience or the desire to wait for your future daughter to grow to 21 and apply for a family GC. I am not sure what the wait times are for family based GC for ROW but they are not as attractive as employment based Green card. There is no comparision in the wait times though so I imagine the other person was probably kidding. And for clarification, the longest wait for employment based GC for EB-3 India which is currently at Oct 2001 (about 7.5 years).....and that is my category :-( . It certainly aint a decade yet though it seems headed that way.
