Need help on which application to withdraw. I did file 1-765 paper application with the Nebraska service center. For a month, I had no receipt from them. So I called them to see if they could get me with the receipt number, but to no avail.
Having thought that it might have been lost in the mail, I e-filed this time to Texas Center and had the receipt immediately after submission. Today I check my bank account only to be seen that the the check I issued to the Nebraska service center for my first application has been posted.
Now I'm thinking of which one to withdraw. I'm thinking of keeping the one with the Texas service center since EAD applications are faster processed there than at the Nebraska service center. Do you see any possibility of refund?
Your response would be very much appreciated.

same here. file AP in August and got receipt. I-485 filed on July 2 and no receipt so far. called USCIS and could not find receipt number for 485.

After reading the title you people must be thinking that i got my GC or 485 approved but the fact is I Finally got my PERM filed this month. The purpose of this thread is to inform anyone who is waiting for PERM withdrawal that it took THREE months to withdrawal my OLD perm application. I hope no one is in this situation.
Whenever i use to post something on IV, folks use to have a generic answer "update your profile" but i couldn't as i was waiting to file my PERM. This for those people who always wanted me to update my profile. Checkout my Priority date is April 09 :D in my profile
I am in my 5th year of H1b hope this time i get my PERM approved. In my earlier Green card process i have already been through this queue two times and now i have to start allover again.

there is no rule that says your spouse must have your last name. it is just your personal preference. (i am talking from the prespective of immigration application)

when someone working in DC, VA, MD etc says that they will try to make it to the rally because it is on a working day. Come on, give us a break because multiple people are flying from the west coast.
Move your a$$ and get to the rally. You have made enough ruses about not being able to attend the rally.
It makes no sense for you to be the beneficiary of someone else's sweat(in getting legislation passed).
Now show some spine and attend the rally. :)

dont forget july 4th is a holiday..so when they come back on the 5th they will have applications touching the roof.
but from what i am hearing a lot of people are waiting for august bulletin and will apply on july 31st with the higher fees to avail the free ead/ap.

You can work as many hours as you like when on H1B. The only requirement is that you work for the SAME EMPLOYER that sponsored your H1B.
Letter for parents to come if required only when getting visa at the consulate (addresses to Consular Gen.). Nothing is needed at Port Of Entry. They are Immigration Officers at POE, but the only questions they will ask is where will they stay? What is your name? where you work? etc. Simple Qs.

1) You can stay home even without any job, when you have EAD.
2) Alternatively, work for this SAP if they could provide a job description similar to your past when an RFE comes your way.

I have a couple of queries and would appreciate your guidance in the matter.
-I have an approved H1B extension but my H1B visa in the passport has expired. Presently I do not want to use my EAD. When travelling outside the country can I re-enter the US using my Advance Parole or do I have to get my H1B visa stamped in the passport.
-Our son is 15 years old. He does not have a social number as we did not apply for EAD. His H4Visa on the passport has expired. Now when he travels outside the country, can he use his travel document. How does it work, or does he have to maintain his H4 status and get his visa stamped. Please advise.:)

I have applied for Canadian PR (AINP) and would like to know after getting canadian PR,will it possible for H4 and H1 person to work for Canada based company by staying in US or not?
I think I am not impacting US labor or anything. I will be working for Canadian company from US. I will be getting Salary / Tax deduction in Canada.

GE is not a person. All of GE employees as well as share holders pay taxes on their income. Why do you want to double tax the companies and make them go out of business? Thats one reason companies have to setup operations in tax haven countries.
It's as if the wife has to pay taxes on her salary and then the husband has to pay taxes on the pocket money he gets from his wife as monthly allowance to run the house hold. (Just reversed the traditional places of husband and wife for fun).
