they wanted to see the originals but copies were enough for submitting. as many of our members have experiances lately - with respective to stamping, its should surey help if we consider their advise's. good luck all.

I too work for my wife. Example of work, doing laundry, taking kid to his day care, grocery , cleaning etc... The specific answers are below
1. Can "A" work for his wife and also get paid in check?
- I get nothing, why should you?.
2. Can "A" have a second job in his wife's company and retain his original job?
- Come on man, her majesty's service has to be your first job.
3. Can "A" have a different occupation anywhere else on EAD not related to his original job role? and then can "A" get paid in check?
- No comments
4. Can "A" work for his wife's company and instead wife gets the check or paid? Is that legal?

5. Can "A"'s wife open a company on EAD and also keep working on her H1B?

I dont think any July 2nd filer got receipt notices as of yet. Atleast I havent seen anyone in any of the forums.
I know, I was asking because my employer will not give the receipt notices to employees after they come, and also haven't let us apply for EAD/AP.

Need a drop down for page list so that you click on that dropdown list click page number and it take you to that page, instead of clicking through the current pagination for couple of dozens of time, and also if possible need two options in pagination like << and >> once clicked on that it takes you 5 or 10 or some fixed number of pages ahead or behind. This is just a suggestion, and it doesn't take away the hard work and efforts taken by team whom developed it, kudos to them. :)

Read all the posts but Couldn't find exact information; so had to start a new thread.
I've received my 485 receipt Notice, which I filed in July last year and FP is also done. I didn't file File for EAD or AP along with I-485. My case is in TSC.
Now I want to file for EAD and have a few questions?
1. Can somebody guide me how can I file EAD on my own without using lawyer? What fee wil be applicable on this application?
2. I've a valid H1B from current employer who sponsered my GC. If I change employer using this EAD and go out of country sometime later, do I need AP to enter back in the country? or H1B would work??
3. What status would my spouse(currently h4) be on after I start using EAD?
4. is there in difference in processing time between e-filing and paper filing?

Hi,
may I know what would be the problem if the name is not mentioned in the birth certificate. It was issued right after I born, without specifying name.
my parents name, date of birth ,date of place are there in the birth certificate.
filed I485 in late june. I guess they might send RFE.

You need affidavit from parents. My lawyer addressed this specific case for people born in India and said that in this case, two affidavits are required (although non-availability certificate is not required).

Believe me , at least 80% of this so called enterpreneurs will end up like present H1/desi employers/blood sucking companies
Of course 20% will be real good with clean intentions.
I bet...As i saw so many people in the same manner.
My close friends got GC and now sucking people with H1s , after just registering LLC with state secretary by paying 100$ reg fees and filing few H1s with INS
Well let us assume this group has people in that 20% too..
Believe me , at least 80% of this so called enterpreneurs will end up like present H1/desi employers/blood sucking companies

My I-485(with G-28) was filed by our company lawyer and company did not let us file EAD. I'm filing EAD on my own after USCIS made it clear with FAQ2 that they will accept EAD applications without the I-485 Receipt notice.
My questions is, Can I be sure the receipt notice for the EAD will come to me and not to the lawyer by any chance? I don't have any intention of using EAD but don't want my employer/lawyer know that I have filed it.
